 The College of Dentistry at the university organized a training course on antibiotics and analgesics in dentistry, as part of a series of training courses offered by the college to its students during its scientific week.

 The training course, presented by Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharafi, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department at the university, aimed at raising the level of health awareness among students of higher levels and excellence in the College of Dentistry, and providing them with the necessary information about antibiotics and analgesics, how to use them, their side effects, and how to prevent antibiotic resistance. .

 In the session, Dr. Al-Gharafi dealt with the concept of antibiotics and analgesics, their types, and their method of action.. He also talked about the dangers of incorrect use of antibiotics and analgesics.. He touched on the types of bacteria in the mouth and teeth and how to prevent bacterial infection in dentistry.

 As well as the type of drugs used, including antibiotics and painkillers for pregnant women, liver diseases and kidney diseases.

 He pointed out that the excessive use of antibiotics and painkillers may lead to many health problems, such as bacterial resistance to antibiotics, and their side effects, in addition to drug interactions between drugs and antibiotics, as well as drug interactions between painkillers and other drugs, noting the lack of use of antibiotics and painkillers.
