The Accreditation Council's External Review Team Concludes Field Visit to the Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery Program at the Emirates International University

The External Review Team for Program Accreditation concluded its field visit to the Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery Program at the Emirates International University on Monday, Dhu al-Hijjah 6, 1446 AH (June 2, 2025 AD). This visit was completed after the requirements and procedures for program accreditation were met, in accordance with the three-day visit plan.

During the visit, the team held several meetings and interviews to verify evidence and review the laboratories, facilities, and equipment, in addition to reviewing the content of the academic program. The team concluded its visit with a closing session to review the visit's findings and comprehensiveness.

 In the closing session, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Shuaibi, Vice President of the Council, emphasized the importance of universities' efforts to develop the educational process and obtain programmatic accreditation. He noted that this accreditation is the fruit of the universities' extensive efforts to ensure the quality of education and represents a pivotal stage in their academic journey.

Dr. Al-Shuaibi extended his thanks and appreciation to the members of the external review team, headed by Dr. Hussein Shuja'uddin, and including Dr. Abbas Al-Kabsi and Dr. Nazim Salam. He also thanked the accompanying expert team, headed by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Saafani, Director General of Evaluation, and including Dr. Huda Al-Sanhani, Director General of Accreditation, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Hakimi, Director General of the Council President's Office, as well as the media team consisting of Engineer Mansour Al-Salwi and Engineer Ramzi Al-Sarhi.

He also expressed his appreciation to the university's leadership, represented by its President, Dr. Nasser Al-Mufri, his Vice President, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, and Secretary General, Dr. Fouad Hanash, as well as to the college's leadership and faculty members. During the session, a brief report on the program's program accreditation stages was presented by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Saafani, Director General of Evaluation and Chairman of the Expert Committee accompanying the team. The report covered the accreditation steps and the stages the program went through, from signing the agreement with the university, through reviewing the files, submitting the initial report, and announcing the final results.

Dr. Hussein Shuja' Al-Din, Team Leader, also presented the visit's timeline, highlighting the program's most prominent strengths and weaknesses.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, Vice President of the University; Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, Secretary General of the University; Professor Sharaf Al-Hamdi, Dean of the University's Center for Development and Quality Assurance; Professor Ibrahim Al-Shami, Dean of the College of Dentistry; a number of college deans, department heads, faculty members, and a number of academic and administrative staff at the university.
