Vision

To be a distinguished center for education and research in the field of information technology 

Mission

The mission is to qualify graduates and provide them with the knowledge and skills required for modern information technology through a commitment to excellence in academic programs and the enhancement of research capabilities, enabling graduates to compete and excel in the local and regional labor market .

Objectives

1.     Effectively contribute  to the national plans for information technology in Yemen by preparing professional and qualified graduates in the field of information technology .

2.      Providing educational programs thatprepare  qualified graduates in the fields of information technology 

3.     Filling the gap in the IT industry with IT solutions specialists .

4.      Providing an environment that enables students and faculty members in the department to contribute to the development of knowledge and creative practice of information technology .

5.     Establishing and developing scientific research capabilities and providing   contribution opportunities for researchers    in scientific activities .

6.    Effectively contribute  to community development and  respond  to ongoing development challenges 

Department head’s speech

First, I would like to welcome our dear students and visitors to the university website. I would like to emphasize the importance of the Information Technology major. As is well known, information is the foundation of the success of any business today, and no organization or institution can succeed without utilizing technology and ensuring efficient management of the organization's information.   From this standpoint, the importance of the Information Technology major emerges, as it includes knowledge of how to use technology and the appropriate software and network infrastructure (Hardware, Software, and Network) for any organization, as well as how to manage and protect the organization's information network. This major allows graduates to move in different directions and develop themselves in various fields, including building, managing, and maintaining systems and networks, information security, systems analysis and development, and cloud computing..
