Mission

The Department of Accounting seeks to provide distinguished academic and research programs in accounting and audit fields in line with marketplace needs by providing the appropriate educational environment according to quality standards.

Objectives

1.     Provide academic programs that match the requirements of the labor market and keep pace with recent knowledge developments.

2.     Provide the students with theorical knowledge and practical skills that enhance creativity and research in the field of accounting.

3.     Prepare, academically and professionally, distinguished accounting graduates equipped with ethical and professional values and capable of keeping pace with the scientific and research developments in response to the requirements of the local and regional markets.

4.     Enhance and support scientific research and activities of the teaching staff and students of the department.

               5.     Participate in social service through establishing effective partnerships with the relevant institutions and providing consultant and social services in accounting. 

Speech of  the Head of Accoutancy Department Accountancy , in its concept, nature, and function, is greater and deeper than simply interpreting financial activities, monitoring financial policies, or the process of preparing budgets and avoiding errors. Rather, it is deeper and much more comprehensive than that. It is a universal icon that the Creator, Almighty, made it a means of preservingthe universe balance. On the one hand, it is the foundation of the universe, and a vital and effective criterion for preserving the course of life in general, and human life in particular. It is the golden equation for avoiding business corruption, in all fields. In the scientific field, for example, if the inputs to scientific work are not calculated with extreme accuracy, the result is wasted effort and time. In the field of thought, if the ideas and goals of putting them forward are not in the service of man, then they do not produce fruit and become frivolous, and  go in vain.  Our relationship with the Almighty Creator is based on accountability, and there are many verses that indicate this, and we cite some of them for the purpose of citation, not narration: {Read your book; your soul is sufficient today as a reckoner over you}, and in light of that, amendment and change are made. This is also the case in the final account, which reveals to us, not just profit and loss, but, and this is more important, the intermediate actions that took place during the entire life process. The essence of our lives depends entirely on accounting and its mechanisms in various aspects of life. Therefore, the Accountancy Department seeks to give this universal significance of accountancy great importance in dealing with it and to reflect that in the educational process for the department’s students, as the department was keen to select the best academic cadres in accordance with quality standards to provide a distinguished educational experience for students.
