The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Periodontics is one of the academic departments of the College of Dentistry, which is concerned with teaching and training students in basic and clinical scientific courses to acquire the clinical knowledge and skills necessary for practicing the dental profession. The department is keen to be a pioneer in the field of education and scientific research at the undergraduate level and strives to publish distinguished scientific researches  in various fields of periodontal medicine and surgery. The department is also keen to serve the community, which receives great attention, by providing advanced therapeutic services in maxillofacial surgery and periodontal surgery and by providing awareness campaigns that spread awareness in the community.
