University President Inspects Free Medical Services at College of Dentistry Clinics

As part of the Emirates International University's commitment to enhancing the quality of community and health services, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah, the university president, accompanied by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shami, Dean of the College of Dentistry, conducted an inspection visit to the college's free clinics. The purpose of the visit was to review the educational process, the provision of medical care to patients, and to ensure the efficiency and quality of the services offered.

During the visit, the university president received a detailed briefing from the medical staff and interns on the patient reception process, the diagnostic and treatment services provided, and the key procedures implemented to guarantee the provision of humane and safe healthcare, in accordance with scientific and professional standards.

Dr. Khaled Salah commended the disciplined performance and dedication of the academic staff and students in serving patients. He emphasized that the free clinics represent one aspect of the university's social responsibility and serve as an important practical platform that contributes to honing students' skills and connecting them with the realities of the profession in a real-world environment through direct, hands-on training.

 For his part, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shami, Dean of the College of Dentistry, welcomed the University President's visit, explaining that the free clinics receive dozens of patients daily, providing diagnostic and treatment services in the areas of fillings, extractions, gum treatment, and dental prosthetics, under the supervision of a select group of specialized academics.

He further explained that these clinics are among the college's most prominent achievements, given their dual role of serving the community and providing students with practical training within a comprehensive educational environment that combines skill and compassion.

It is worth noting that the free clinics at the College of Dentistry at Emirates International University enjoy significant public trust and continue to fulfill their mission of alleviating patient suffering and preparing a distinguished generation of academically and professionally qualified dentists.
