A scientific symposium on financial inclusion and its reality in Yemen for students of the Department of International Business Administration, fourth level

Today, Sunday, the University's College of Administrative and Financial Sciences organized a scientific symposium on financial inclusion and its reality in Yemen, for students of the International Business Administration Department, fourth level. This was in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad Al-Kahali, the Head of the Department, Dr. Abdullah Al-Qurashi, and Ms. Sahar Al-Kahlani, Director of Student Activities.
In his opening speech, Dr. Muhammad Al-Kahali, Dean of the College, pointed out the importance of the symposium in introducing students to the importance of financial inclusion... stressing the College’s keenness to organize such scientific seminars with the aim of developing students’ skills and providing them with the information necessary for success in their professional lives.
Mr. Muhammad Al-Hamoudi, Director of Finance Department at Al-Kuraimi Islamic Microfinance Bank, spoke at the symposium, where he provided an explanation about the concept of financial inclusion, its importance and goals, and discussed its reality in Yemen, while highlighting the challenges facing it.
Professor Al-Hamoudi pointed out that financial inclusion is the provision of basic financial services to individuals and companies, including bank accounts, loans and insurance, regardless of their income or geographical location.
He added that financial inclusion is of great importance in economic development, as it helps improve market efficiency, increase productivity, provide new job opportunities, and enhance financial stability.
The symposium also discussed the financial services provided by Al-Kuraimi Islamic Bank, and reviewed some successful experiences in financing small projects.
At the conclusion of the symposium, the floor was opened for discussion with the students, where they shared their ideas and suggestions on how to enhance financial inclusion in Yemen.
