Towards More Distinguished Academic and Research Outcomes: Emirates International University Enhances Institutional Integration to Consolidate Quality and Improve Academic Ranking

In a scene reflecting the spirit of institutional integration and the ambitious vision for academic and research excellence, Emirates International University hosted an important coordination meeting. The meeting brought together the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, and the Center for Development and Quality Assurance. This step underscores the university's continued commitment to establishing a culture of quality and raising the level of academic and research performance in accordance with academic accreditation and quality assurance standards, as well as Arab and international standards.

The meeting, held under the directives of Professor Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah, President of the University, was attended by Professor Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance; Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Qurashi, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research; Associate Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Kahali, Dean of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences; Dr. Fahmi Al-Daqaf, Head of the Department of Accounting, Finance, and Banking; Mr. Waseem Fara’a, College Coordinator; and a number of specialists and academics.

[University Media] The participants discussed several strategic themes related to developing academic and research performance, most notably monitoring the progress of the educational process according to approved timelines, reviewing performance indicators and operational plans for academic departments, and working to improve the quality of academic programs and their outcomes during the 2025/2026 academic year.

The meeting also addressed ways to enhance scientific research and expand academic publishing by encouraging faculty members, undergraduate students, and graduate students to prepare and publish scientific research in peer-reviewed journals. This will boost research output and raise the university's scientific and academic standing.

Regarding student empowerment, the meeting emphasized the importance of investing in high-quality graduation projects and transforming them into publishable scientific research through specialized training programs in scientific research preparation and academic publishing. These programs will be coordinated with the Development and Quality Assurance Center to contribute to building an academic environment that fosters innovation and knowledge production.

The meeting also stressed the importance of activating the role of graduate students in supporting the scientific research system by developing thesis topics and transforming them into research papers suitable for publication in the Emirates International University Journal and other peer-reviewed scientific journals.

 This meeting is part of the university's efforts to build an advanced academic system based on quality and continuous improvement, enhance institutional performance, and support academic accreditation and research excellence, in line with the university's aspirations for leadership locally, regionally, and internationally.
