In an academic setting reflecting the depth of scientific excellence and the quality of educational outcomes, the College of Administrative Sciences at the Emirates International University witnessed the discussion of a distinguished graduation project by students from the Department of Business Administration. The project, titled "The Impact of Sustainable Leadership on Enhancing Organizational Resilience – An Exploratory Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Employees at the Yemen Gulf Bank – Sana'a Governorate," was presented as part of the requirements for obtaining a Bachelor's degree for the academic year 1447 AH – 2026 AD.
The project, prepared by a select group of students: Musa Mohammed Saleh Al-Haidhani, Abdul Hafeez Talal Al-Ariqi, Yahya Abdul Muttalib Jubran, Mansour Abdo Saleh Al-Qubaili, Khalil Aoun Taher Al-Humaidi, and Abdul Malik Ahmed Taher Al-Humaidi, was supervised by the distinguished academic advisor, Dr. Amani Al-Safari. It embodies a true model of applied scientific research relevant to the needs of the labor market.
The discussion committee comprised a distinguished group of specialized academics, chaired by Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Kahali, Dean of the College, and including Dr. Fahmi Al-Daqaf, Dr. Mohammed Al-Rahbi, Dr. Amani Al-Safari, and Dr. Ashwaq Al-Jaboubi. A select group of supporting academic staff were also present, creating a scholarly atmosphere that reflected the seriousness of the presentations and the depth of the discussions.
The project addressed one of the most important modern management concepts: "sustainable leadership," with its dimensions of cohesive diversity, organizational justice, and employee development. It also examined its impact on enhancing "organizational resilience," with its dimensions of organizational learning, organizational memory, and organizational DNA.
The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing advanced statistical tools via SPSS software. The research sample consisted of 40 employees from a population of 130 individuals, reflecting the methodological rigor in data collection and analysis.
The results revealed a significant and statistically substantial impact of sustainable leadership on enhancing organizational resilience, with an explanation rate of 76.7%. This strong indicator reflects the profound relationship between modern leadership practices and organizational sustainability. The study also highlighted that practical experience is a significant factor in this context, while no substantial differences were found attributable to other demographic variables.
The project went beyond theoretical analysis, offering a set of practical recommendations aligned with global trends in modern management. These recommendations include: strengthening sustainable leadership practices within banking institutions, supporting cohesive diversity, establishing organizational justice, investing in employee development, activating knowledge management mechanisms, and enhancing information flow across organizational levels.
This high-quality project underscores the advanced level of educational outcomes achieved at the college. Graduation projects are no longer merely academic requirements but have become effective tools for generating applied knowledge that contributes to the development of national institutions.
This achievement also reflects the university's commitment to linking academic learning with practical application and cultivating a generation of leaders capable of addressing institutional challenges with an innovative and sustainable vision.
Here, success is not only achieved, but the minds that create it are nurtured.
