With God's grace and guidance, and based on the Almighty's words: {And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.} (Quran 3:169), and within the framework of the activities and events organized by the university to commemorate the annual Martyr's Day for the year 1447 AH, the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the Emirates International University organized a symposium today, Monday, 19 Jumada al-Ula 1447 AH, entitled "Martyrdom: A Great Divine Gift and Eternal Glory."
The seminar was presented by Sheikh Osama Al-Mahatori, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, who spoke with profound faith about the sublime meanings of martyrdom and its exalted status with God Almighty. He explained that it is not a loss but an eternal life under the shade of divine grace, and that it expresses the highest form of sacrifice and selflessness in the cause of truth, freedom, and dignity.
The seminar was attended by the Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Dr. Mohammed Al-Kahali, a number of heads of academic departments and faculty members, as well as a group of students who actively engaged with the seminar's themes with distinguished contributions that reflected their awareness and connection to the spirit of belonging and religious responsibility.
This event is part of a comprehensive program of activities and seminars implemented by the university during the annual commemoration of the martyr, embodying the values of loyalty and gratitude for the sacrifices of the martyrs who paved the way of honor and dignity for the nation and the causes of the Ummah with their blood.
