A Field Visit for Third-Year International Business Administration Students (Arabic Section) to Jalab Industrial Company

The Department of International Business Administration (Arabic Section) at the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the University organized a field visit for third-year students to Jalab Industrial Company. The visit was supervised by Dr. Safaa Al-Hanbasi, the course instructor, and accompanied by Dr. Mohammed Al-Kahali, Dean of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences; Mr. Mohammed Al-Kumaim, Academic Coordinator; Ms. Safaa Al-Bahloli, Teaching Assistant at the College; and Ms. Samah Hassan, Deanship Secretary. The visit aimed to connect theoretical and practical aspects of the Cost Accounting course.

 

They were received by Deputy General Manager Mr. Ali Jalab, Human Resources Manager Walid Shehab, Maintenance Manager Abdulrahman Shehab, and Plastics Engineer Mohammed Al-Maqtari. They explained the factory's workflow, starting with the entry of raw materials into the various production factors and the extent to which the factory adheres to quality standards, specifications, and metrics. They then moved on to the production centers and production services, then to the packaging and packaging of the various products produced by the company, arriving at their final form in the fully-production inventory and ready-to-sell inventory.

 

 The students also learned about the factory's production centers and production service centers, manufacturing costs, marketing costs, financial and administrative costs, both direct and indirect (variable and fixed), and occupational safety procedures adhered to by the factory.

 

The dean of the college, the course professor, and the department's staff and students expressed their thanks and appreciation to the factory management for providing them with the opportunity to learn about the various production processes in the factory and expressed their admiration for the factory and its products.
